FORTE DELLA PUNTA

In basso a sinistra il forte e dietro è visibile la fortezza vecchia

Questo forte, posizionato sulla punta del molo, munito di potenti cannoni a raso serviva a difendere l’accesso del porto, completando la serie delle fortificazioni della piazzaforte di Livorno.

Resti del forte sono individuabili ancora in loco ma nessun opera di recupero è stata sinora tentata.
